Kimberly Cargile - Music

Dr. Kim Cargile became the music teacher at LVE in 2012. Prior to teaching elementary music, Dr. Cargile performed in twenty-six countries and throughout the United States as a pianist, conductor and vocalist in all genres of music. She has performed in notable venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, the Crystal Cathedral, many performances at the White House in Washington D.C., as well as being a featured performer for national and international radio and television programs. She has served on the music faculties of three universities, teaching courses in choral music, vocal jazz, piano, music theory, music history, opera and musical theatre. She has also spent most of her life serving as music director and pianist at large churches throughout the southeast. Dr. Cargile loves conducting choral and orchestral works, operas and musical theatre productions, but she gets the most fulfillment from seeing her elementary students learn to love and perform music! At LVE, she teaches a wide array of musical skills and concepts, and leads grade level programs, an auditioned chorus, and musical theatre productions.

Dr. Cargile received the Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance (with a minor in Psychology) and the Master of Music in Choral Conducting from UTC. She received the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting, with a secondary emphasis in Opera/Musical Theatre Production and Administration, from The University of Southern Mississippi.
