This week we are spotlighting one of our 4th grade teachers, Mrs. Gina Payne.

Gina received her Associate degree from Chattanooga State in Early Childhood Education. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from WGU (Western Governors University) in Elementary Education K-6. Gina went on to receive her Master of Education in Reading in Literacy from Walden University. She began at LVES as a substitute 15 years ago. She worked in the Exceptional Education Department as a Speech/Language assistant for 3 years. It was during that time she completed her Bachelor’s degree. Gina taught 1st grade for seven years and this will be her third year teaching 4th grade. Gina has been married to Randy for 25 years and counting. They have one daughter, Faith, who is in her first year at Covenant College. Gina enjoys being a wife and mom, cooking and baking, reading, spending time with family and friends, and snuggling up on the couch with her comfy blanket and dog while watching movies and Netflix. Gina is a native of Lookout Valley. She attended LVES (Valley View) and Lookout Valley Middle/High. She is a member of Valley Memorial Baptist Church. Gina feels blessed to be able to teach in the community where she grew up and lives.
