This week we are spotlighting one of our 2nd grade teachers, Mrs. Susan O’Mary.

Susan is a lifelong Lookout Valley community member. She is the youngest of 5 children (which explains a lot), and is married to her high school sweetheart, Randy. Susan and Randy have 2 sons, Jonathan (Megan) and Daniel (Kelsey). They also have 2 grandchildren, Ridge and Ryder, with another addition on the way in April. Susan started working at LVES in 1998 as an Educational Assistant. She decided to further her teaching career at the age of 40 and graduated from Covenant College in 2007. God had been preparing her for the classroom for years by providing opportunities for her to work in daycare, Children’s Coordinator at Church, substitute teaching, and classroom volunteering. She loves music, reading, hiking, and eagles. Susan’s favorite color is blue (good information for Teacher Appreciation Week). She loves teaching and watching the kids grow and learn every day.

Additional information: Susan used to play in a band with her husband. The band was named DeLorean!
