Safety Patrol Faculty Leaders

Each year, 5th grade students are chosen to serve on the Safety Patrol. Students fill out an application, and are chosen based on responsibility, behavior, and grades. Once accepted into the program, each student is given an orange Safety Patrol vest, and assigned to a specific position and duty during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal.

Examples of Safety Patrol duties include: outdoor flag duty; hallway monitors; assisting teachers as they walk lower-grade classes to the car rider room in the afternoons; monitors in the car-rider room; bus rider monitors; cafeteria monitors. The Safety Patrol program helps instill responsibility and leadership skills in our 5th grade students, and also helps keep our school safe!
